Barnsley's star striker Chris O'Grady has joined Championship side Brighton and Hove Albion on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

 

This is the second bid accepted by the Reds this summer 28-year-old,who netted 15 goals last season and was Player of the Year, but he failed to agree terms with Charlton last month.

 

O'Grady joined on loan from Sheffield Wednesday in January last year then signed permanently in the summer. He netted 21 goals in 59 games.

 

Goalkeeper Luke Steele joined Panathinaikos earlier in the week while defenders Tom Kennedy and Martin Cranie, who is wanted by Blackpool, have not travelled with the squad to the pre-season camp in Italy and could also leave soon.
