Danny Wilson has praised Luke Berry who came back into the side this week and got his first Reds goal on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old midfielder signed in the summer after helping Cambridge to promotion from the Conference and has played ten matches for the Reds, mainly on the right of a midfield diamond.

He had dropped to the bench in recent weeks but returned to the starting line-up as part of a central three for the trips to Rochdale and Oldham.

Wilson said: "Luke has been outstanding. He was unfortunate to be out anyway. But it's a big step up from non-league to League One and it's important that we manage that transition carefully. If you look at his record in non-league, he's scored quite a few goals. It was a nice moment for him in front of our fans and let's hope it's the first of many."
