PARENTS and staff from Greenacre school have vowed to resubmit plans for a new school in Barnsley after it's first proposal was turned down by the government.

They submitted the application to open a new 'free school' for 480 pupils, which would have seen children with special and complex needs taught alongside other children.

Now, they have promised to revisit their application, strengthen it and resubmit.

Jonathan Wainwright, of Pashley Croft, Wombwell, believes that parents of children with special and complex needs should have the choice to send their children to mainstream schools.
