A PENSIONER who receives help around the home from the Royal Voluntary Service has been given a medal honouring her own 20 years' service as a volunteer.
Valerie Dyson, 72, was a volunteer for the RVS in the 1980s and gave much needed help to elderly people, underprivileged children and charities.
Valerie has her own mobility problems so receives help and support from the service, and has now received her 120 year service medal in recognition of her service.
