THERE is still time to vote for Barnsley Youth Choir and help win members £2,000 towards competing at the European Choir Games.

The choir is hoping for more success this year and is hoping to take a number of younger members to the competition in Magdeburg, Germany in July which is estimated to cost about £30,000.

Last year, the choir competed at the World Choir Games in Latvia and returned home with two gold certificates.

It stands to win the £2,000 cash prize as part of Community Champions Campaign being run by Magnet Trade which has a store on Old Mill Lane.

Volunteer James Dickson, who helps run the choir, said: "People should vote for the choir because it represents a fantastic opportunity for the young people of Barnsley to perform at the highest possible level and could give some of these children a chance to compete in an international competition."
