A SHAFTON playgroup has been in celebratory mood this week - after bagging an outstanding report from Ofsted.
Playworks, based at the village’s community centre, off High Street, was visited by the education watchdog on February 22 and inspector Hayley Ruane found the provision to be excelling in every department.
Children’s behaviour, the group’s leadership, teaching quality and effectiveness were all praised in the report, which secured Playworks an ‘outstanding’ verdict - Ofsted’s highest mark.
