A WOMAN who was sexually assaulted while sleeping on a train has prompted an appeal by British Transport Police.
A CCTV image has been released of a man officers would like to speak to in connection with the incident which happened on a train travelling between Leeds and Barnsley.
The victim, a 35-year-old woman, was asleep on the train at about 6.12pm on December 20. As the train arrived at Barnsley, a man leaned over to her and touched her inappropriately and kissed her.
Officers want to speak to the man shown in the CCTV image as he may have information which could help the investigation.
