A SERVING police officer is due to appear in court today charged with drink driving.
The female PC was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol when breathalysed arriving for a shift and was subsequently arrested.
The long-serving officer, who is in her 40s and from the Barnsley area, cannot be identified due to legal reasons.
She will appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court this morning.
South Yorkshire Police declined to comment.
