POLICE are appealing for help in their search for a missing man.
South Yorkshire Police has issued a request for ‘urgent help’ to find Derek Atkinson, missing from Barnsley.
Derek, 72, was last seen at 2.40pm yesterday afternoon leaving Grange Lane, heading in the general direction of Pontefract Road, Cundy Cross.
He hasn’t been seen since and officers are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare. Derek is about 5ft 6ins tall, a slim build and thought to be wearing a rain jacket which is light blue/grey on the top half and dark blue/grey on the bottom half, light grey smart trousers and black shoes.
Police are out in the local area looking for Derek and are asking anyone who has seen him to contact them straight away.
