POLICE have warned parents and carers to avoid clogging up routes into schools upon children’s return to education next week.
Problematic parking - a long-running issue across Barnsley - will result in more PCSO patrols being put on by neighbourhood policing teams in the town.
A police spokesman said: “Please remember to drive safely and park considerately in and around our local schools.
“More attention will be being paid to this following many complaints about inconsiderate parking before the lockdown.”
