THIS year's Barnsley Poppy Appeal launch will take place at Oakwell football ground.
It will be held at 3.45pm on Saturday, October 24 just before kick off for the match between the Reds and Fleetwood FC when the Mayor of Barnsley and cadets from the Royal Navy, Army and RAF will be in attendance on the pitch.
Volunteers are still needed for this year's appeal and anyone who fancies giving a little back to those who gave so much for the country can do so by giving up two hours of their time to help the Royal British Legion.
