A PRIEST fearing 'anti-religious' influences banned Barnsley heavy metal band Seventh Son from playing a charity gig.
The band, who have been gigging for almost 35 years, were due to play at the Polish Catholic Centre in Ecclesall Road, Sheffield.
But when Father Tomasz Wojick, who is in charge of the Polish Catholic Centre, saw Seventh Son posters promoting the gig he said they could not play. He said the band "could not guarantee" they would not perform anti-religious songs.
