A PUPIL has been excluded from Penistone Grammar School after a video clip of him grabbing another student who was then thrown to the ground in a wrestling-style move appeared on the internet.
The clip was apparently posted by a relative of the boy who was thrown to the ground and was viewed more than 50,000 times soon after it went online.
However the footage was later taken down after police were called in as part of the school's investigation and response to the incident.
Grammar school principal Joanne Higgins stressed that the school took bullying and pupil welfare extremely serious and took action as soon as they became aware of the clip, which was posted on a Facebook page, last Friday.
