YOU’VE heard of ‘an apple a day’ but a Barnsley school is encouraging all of its children to ‘run a mile’ every day.
Wellgate Primary School in Mapplewell is running a ‘Daily Mile’ scheme where all the children go for a run every single day, and they’re working towards being able to do a mile a day.
“Children spend so much of their time indoors,” said teacher Becky Day.
