TWO sites in Brampton look closer to being redeveloped after permission was granted for one and forms for another were submitted.

The former Brampton Hall pub on Manor Road could be converted into a series of houses after a lack of interest was generated from people wanting to run it as a pub.

A planning application has been submitted to Rotherham Council from site owners Punch Partnerships for the demolition of the single storey extension and conversion of it into a dwelling.

Three houses would also be built with associated landscaping and a means of access, if plans are approved.

The pub had been for sale at a price of about £350,000 but had generated little interest.
