Barnsley kept their first clean sheet in League One sheet season in a goalless draw at Fleetwood Town on Wednesday night.

Jean Yves M'voto replaced Brad Abbott and joined Lewin Nyatanga in central defence with captain Martin Cranie playing in front of the back four. Devante Cole was rewarded for scoring as a substitute against MK Dons on Saturday by coming into the starting line-up in place of Leroy Lita and played on the left wing with Kane Hemmings on his own up front. Dale Jennings was on the left with Conor Hourihane and Luke Berry central.

Barnsley did not have a shot in the first half and relied on their goalkeeper Adam Davies who denied Gareth Evans three times when he was free to have a shot in the area.

Wilson changed to a 4-4-2 at half-time and the Reds offered more of a threat. Jennings hit the bar after a superb run and shot then Cole went through on goal but was denied by home goalkeeper Chris Maxwell.

Both sides had chances to win it in extra-time as Josh Morris' free-kick struck the bar then Lita blazed over when well-placed.
