Barnsley are chasing a left-back on loan but it is unlikely to happen before tomorrow's trip to Queens Park Rangers.

First choice left-back joined Wolves in January and David Flitcroft is looking for another player to compete with Tom Kennedy.

Championships clubs can only put five loan signings in their matchday squad of 18 and the Reds already have four in Jack Butland, Peter Ramage, Marcus Pederson and David Fox.

Flitcroft said: "Left-back is an area we are looking at.

"We were close on Wednesday but nothing happened and we've had to move on to other targets. "We have a few options and we're just making sure we get the right one."
