Barnsley gained their first win of the season as fine finishes from strikers Chris O'Grady and Marcus Pedersen earned them a 2-1 success over local rivals Huddersfield.

O'Grady put the Reds ahead on seven minutes when he fired home after the ball bounced kindly for him in the box.

Pedersen doubled the lead on 31 minutes after Huddersfield had been on top. He collected a cross from the left superbly and turned before firing home.

Huddersfield pulled one back on 61 minutes through James Vaughan, who missed a similar one-on-one chance earlier in the second half.

Vaughan could have levelled when he sent a volley straight into the arms of home goalkeeper Mike Pollitt.
