In form duo Devante Cole and Conor Hourihane could be attracting interest from elsewhere but Reds boss Danny Wilson remains unconcerned.

Cole and Hourihane linked up perfectly against Notts County and set a goal up each for one another. Conor has seven while Devante has five. The pair are arguably the Reds' leading lights this season and negotiations with Manchester City for an extension on Cole's loan are ongoing.

Wilson said: "We're in talks but there's nothing been clarified just yet.  We are hoping we can get him for longer than until January. I think we're in a good position to be able to do it. Devante's really enjoying it here.

"I don't think he's looking to go anywhere else at the moment but the ball is completely in Man City's court. I would like to think that, because he's playing first team football, they'll give us an extension.

"We don't have the final say on these players. We bring them in and we hope we can get them playing, but what happens after that is down to the parent club.

"I can't see the longevity of him going to a Championship club and not playing games when he knows he can play here, get experience and get some game understanding at a tough level."

Hourihane's goal return has not surprised Wilson and he hopes it continues even if it encourages bids in January. On Hourihane, who signed for three years in the summer, Wilson added: "I hope there's loads of clubs watching him in January because that means he's kept scoring. We will have to deal with that if it does happen but that's part and parcel of football.

"The better your players are playing the more interest surrounds them but we've got no worries about that one. He's a terrific finisher, one of the best at the club. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get towards the 20-goal mark."
