CAMPAIGNERS have renewed calls for action on a 'death trap' stretch of road in Hoyland following another accident last weekend.

Residents of Wentworth Station on the A6135 say it has a long history of accidents resulting in deaths and serious injuries. They say it has claimed 15 lives in 32 years.

Last Saturday there was a collision on the road at about 1pm involving two vans. Paramedics attended.

Rockingham councillor Chris Lamb said local councillors had tried on numerous occasions to get the speed limit reduced on this stretch of the A6135.
