ARDSLEY Residents Association has been given £2,000 that was raised by the Tesco bags for life programme to go towards an adult gym in Ardsley park.

The gym in the park will be available to teenagers aged 14 and above and will cost around £11,000 to install.

Terry Fellows, chairman of the association, said: “It’s great we got this money through the bags for life programme.

“The gym in the park is the next project of the association and it will be available to everyone free of charge. It’s that time of the year where everyone wants to keep trim but they will be able to save money too. We are also looking for people to get in touch and join the association.”

The cheque was presented by Lisa Hammond of Tesco to committee members.

The next meeting for the group is on Monday June 10 at 7pm at the Oaks Working Men’s Club in Ardsley.
