RESIDENTS left with no streetlights and unfinished roads and pavements when a builder went bust say they fear the work will never be completed.
House builder Custom Property Developments went into liquidation three years ago after finishing the houses on Highstone View, Worsbrough Common, but without finishing the roads and pavements.
That left residents struggling to cope with uneven roads and pavements with dangerous raised sections that it was impossible to see once daylight faded - because there were no street lights.
They had hoped administrators Fox Lloyd Jones might manage to find money to finish and make safe the roads and pavements and install the much-needed street lighting.
But the administrators have this month told Barnsley Council they do not have the funds to carry out the work.
