POLICE have thanked residents for information that led to the discovery of Class A drugs on a street in Gawber.

Officers received tip-offs from people complaining about antisocial behaviour and drug use in a car park on Woodview Lane.

PC Bev Frisby said: “This week we stop and searched a car’s two occupants at this location.

“This resulted in the recovery of an amount of Class A drugs. A male was subsequently processed for the offence.

“Patrols in this area will be continuing at different times of the day.

“The information provided by the community does guide and steer our day-to-day work.”
