RESIDENTS of a Barnsley street are keeping a fearful eye on the banking which overlooks their homes - which they say could start to move at any time.

House builder Custom Property Developments went into liquidation three years ago after finishing the houses on Highstone View, Worsbrough Common, but they failed to repair damage which was caused during building work when a retaining wall collapsed.

Since then people living in Dillington Crescent have a stretch of missing wall and the banking it is no longer supporting.

Residents had hoped that the administrators Fox LLoyd Jones might manage to find money to rebuild the retaining wall and make the banking safe.

But the administrators have told Barnsley Council they do not have the funds to carry out the work.
