Reuben Noble-Lazarus has left Barnsley for Keith Hill's Rochdale on a permanent transfer.

Noble-Lazarus came through the Oakwell academy and became the youngest Football League player ever in September 2008 at the age of 15 years and 45 days at Ipswich Town. He still holds that record.

Now 21, he has made 49 appearances for Barnsley, scoring three fine goals against Millwall, Leicester and Reading.

But he has appeared just twice for the newly-relegated Reds this season and joined Rochdale on loan in October. He scored two goals early in his spell with former Barnsley boss Hill but has only played four minutes of football since November.
