A £5,000 reward has been offered in return for information about two masked robbers who burst into a Monk Bretton shop wielding knives and crowbars demanding the takings.

The men raided the Costcutter on Fish Dam Lane at about 9.15pm on Monday and told two female staff working at the time they would 'not get hurt' if they handed over money from the till.

The reward has been put up by owner Ron Ford who said: "I have put up this reward because my staff mean the world to me, they have worked for me a long time. They don't want to be coming to work to that."

Police are investigating.
