A FORMER pigeon-infested eyesore is to be the new base of fashion guru Rita Britton.

The Pollyanna founderis on the cusp of setting up a new studio for her own fashion label Nomad. She is moving out of her former fashion house on Market Hill and relocating to The Tobacco Warehouse in George Yard. The new venture will incorporate a cafe / restaurant, art gallery and 'wonderful retail space'.

It is in the Davies building in George Yard, between Walkabout and Lucorum, once dubbed the 'pigeon building' due to the number of birds that used it to roost.

However, five years ago it was given a complete transformation by developer Derek Gulbrandsen, who spent £125,000 buying and renovating the building.
