POLICE closed the A628 West Way yesterday evening following concern for a person’s welfare.
Police closed the road between Upper New Street and Town End Roundabout following the call that was received at 6.40pm.
The issue was resolved at 7.20pm and the person was brought to safety by officers.
The road reopened shortly afterwards.
