A NUMBER of roads in Barnsley town centre will be closed on Wednesday afternoon as the town hosts the prestigious annual National Circuit Racing Championships Final.
Riders will contest a clockwise 1.1km town centre circuit which starts and finishes opposite Barnsley Town Hall.
Sadler Gate and St Mary's Gate will now be closed from 12 noon.
Road affected by closures will be from 2pm: Sadler Gate; St Mary's Gate; Church Street; Eastgate Regent Street; Market Hill; Hanson Street; Regent Street South; Royal Street and Eldon Street. They will open again at 11pm.
All on-street parking bays in the town centre will be suspended from 5am on: Eldon Street; Regent Street; Church Street; St Mary's Place; Sadler Gate and Market Hill.
Access to the Midland Street Taxi Rank will be maintained throughout the event.
