A TEEN entrepreneur is going from strength to strength opening a new click and collect depot and making it into the finals of a top competition.

Rose Dyson, of Towngate, Silkstone, started her company Pura Cosmetics when she was just 15, with a budget of only £25. The business, which is a cruelty-free vegan lip care range, has grown from strength to strength and now the 19-year-old has opened her first store - a click and collect depot.

Rose was also named as a regional winner of The F Factor competition. The competition covers five regions and has two winners from each region who are entered into the finals in London.

Rose is hoping that both of these achievements will help Pura Cosmetics to grow and reach her dream of making her company a nationally recognised brand.

Speaking about being the winner of the 14-18-year-old category, for the F Factor, Rose said: “I entered when I was 18 at the beginning of the academic year and I was not expecting to win at all. I had three minutes to pitch my business and then there was a question and answer session. It was in front of a live audience as well which I have never done before which made it interesting too.

“I’ll be going down to London later this month and there’s the chance to win £10,000.”

And with her new depot being open round the back of Racecommon Road in Barnsley for people to collect their products after buying on the website, Rose hopes it will do well and she will be able to open up more stores and depots.

“People might see this little place as just a kitchen and packing area but its just great to have our own place for Pura,” said Rose. “It is a big thing for me. The place is quite small but it does the job and hopefully in not too long we will have a place bigger than this and keep growing.

“When you are young it is the perfect time to start a business. I never expected this to get so big but it has been amazing.”

Barnsley MP Dan Jarvis congratulated Rose on her efforts, and said: “I want to congratulate Rose on opening her first premises - what a remarkable achievement for someone of her age.

“She has always struck me as being a hugely impressive entrepreneur with great potential. I wish her every success for the future.”
