Ross Turnbull insists the Barnsley players are not fazed by their difficult-looking run of upcoming games.

After travelling to second-placed Peterborough tomorrow and hosting the tight defence of Notts County on Tuesday, the Reds welcome current League One leaders Bristol City then visit local rivals Sheffield United on November 1.

Turnbull said: "If you look at the next few games, they look difficult, but we haven't had an easy game this season so we can't read anything into teams' form." Turnbull has played the last five matches after recovering from a back injury.

He said: "I'm not quite back to normal yet but it's nice to be playing games again. I had to wait a long time to play which was frustrating but now I'm back onto the training ground and working hard.  The more games I get under my belt, the more I will progress."

Middlesbrough youth product Turnbull's return has added experience to a youthful Barnsley team, as has the loan signing of another North East veteran Peter Ramage.

Turnbull said: "Rambo has made a big difference. We have got a lot of young players and it's good to have that bit of experience in the dressing room and on the pitch. "We are not where we want to be in the table but it's down to us as players to take the club back up to where we should be."
