Ian Sagar, from Hoyland Common, has collected a Paralympic bronze medal as part of the Great Britain wheelchair basketball squad.

The 34-year-old, who has been in a wheelchair since a motorcycle accident near his home as a teenager, continued his excellent individual form with 20 points in the 82-76 win over Turkey in the bronze medal match.

GB trailed from early in the first period until the fourth, by ten points at one stage, but came back to lead by seven points. Turkey recovered and were ahead with 14 seconds left before the Brits levelled at 65-65 to force overtime.

Turkey went 75-69 ahead in the added period but GB scored 13 of the final 14 points with Sagar netting a crucial basket.
