STONES with the names of 20 committee members of the former Silkstone Workingmen's Club have been salvaged ahead of its demolition.
Freelance quantity surveyor Andy Horsfield, 51, and a Monk Bretton-based firm Prima Brickwork got the stones out intact.
His late father-in-law Denis Sanders, who was a committee member and bingo caller at the club, is one of those who had his name carved on a stone.
Mr Horsfield said: "It is early days but I would like to reunite the stones with relatives. It meant a lot to me, my wife Jane and her familiy to get 'our' and their stone."
* Relatives of committee members wanting stones should call Mr Horsfield on 791929.
