TV PRESENTER Sam Nixon cooked up a storm in the Celebrity MasterChef quarterfinal to secure a place in the next round - but can he go all the way?

Sam, 29, made it through to the show's semi-final last week along with fellow contestant, Mica Paris.

Although his starter of beef scotch egg wowed celebrity diners and guest judges Christopher Biggins, Phil Vickery and Andy Peters, his duck breast main received substantial criticism after it was served without being properly rested and was described as "horrendous".

But the Barnsley lad's skill, creativity and ambitious dishes saw him gain the judges' approval and a place in the next round, after comedian Syd Little and Paralympic sprinter, Danny Crates, were given the boot.
