PUPILS at Meadstead Primary Academy are celebrating the news that Ofsted inspectors have declared it 'good' in every area of its work.

The report stated that children at the school achieve well in reading, writing, maths and many other subjects.

The inspectors also said pupils behave well and feel safe in school. They also recognised that classrooms are calm and orderly and pupils play and work well together.

It says: "The headteacher and her deputy provide ambitious and purposeful leadership, and are well supported by senior staff and an effective governing body.

"The quality of teaching is good and teaching assistants make a positive contribution to pupils' learning."
