PEOPLE who live in care homes, their relatives and carers are being asked to share their views on the support they receive from GPs and district nurses.

Barnsley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which commissions the town’s health services, wants to know what matters most to people when it comes to choosing a care home, and what part access to a GP or district nurse plays in that choice.

Brigid Reid, the CCG’s chief nurse, said: “We want everyone to have access to high quality GP and district nursing care, wherever they live in the borough. We’re keen to understand what people think about when choosing a care home and what matters most when they receive care. We’d also like feedback on what currently works well, to see how we could share that good practice across the borough.”
