A BARNSLEY shopping centre has handed over thousands of pounds to a worthy cause following its 2014 fundraising campaign.
Last year, the Alhambra chose Barnsley Hospital's Tiny Hearts Appeal as its local charity of the year, to support its £1million fundraising drive for a new special care baby unit.
The retail outlet raised just short of £8,000 through a selection of events and activities including its extremely popular Santa's Grotto where the Alhambra team transformed a retail unit into a fairytale candy land with Santa's delicious looking gingerbread house.
