PENISTONE graduate Francesca Farrar is causing a stir among retail traders.

Francesca, 22, launched her business venture a couple of years ago turning silver hallmarked and dated spoons into bracelets, and rings.

And now she has won an award at a market traders competition in York for ‘Young Trader of the Year’. She won her category in retail and was voted overall Young Trader of the Year and will now go forward to the finals representing Yorkshire at Stratford-upon-Avon at the end of this month. Francesca, who studied performing arts, has obtained a degree in Musical Theatre and has now extended her creativity into making lamps from antique objects.
