A SLEEPING bag caused traffic chaos on a main road after it was mistaken for a body this week.
Emergency services were called to Old Mill Lane at 2.05pm on Monday following a call from a member of the public that there was a body floating in the River Dearne.
Traffic on the road was temporarily disrupted as crews from Barnsley, Cudworth and Aston Park and the police cordoned the scene.
Firefighters from Aston Park went into the river to investigate and discovered that the floating object was not a body -Â but in fact a sleeping bag.
