Christina Laking, 35, is the brains behind the clever idea for a dedicated website where parents can find information on everything from activities, days out and play groups, listings for events and recommendations from other mums and dads all in one place so they don’t have to trawl the internet.

Christina, of The Grange, Woolley Grange, moved to Barnsley from the north east about eight years ago.

As she’s not from the town originally she didn’t have a big support network or much local knowledge when she came to Barnsley and found it frustrating to find out about things happening locally which is why she wanted to create the ‘Barnsley Mumbler’ website so other parents wouldn’t have to struggle like she did.
