PLANNING permission has been approved for Barnsley’s first Starbucks coffee shop.
The application for a drive-through cafe next to the Rockingham roundabout on the Dearne Valley Parkway, close to the M1 junction at Birdwell, was submitted in June and approved this week.
It will have parking space for 28 vehicles and will be accessed from the new roundabout close to the new KFC and industrial development.
Documents submitted with the planning application say it will create 27 jobs, 15 full time and 12 part time.
