GOAL-SCORING machine Betty Cheetham has smashed an all-time scoring record in an incredible season for the Doncaster Belles under 15s.
Betty, 15, has scored 62 goals so far this season - more than anyone else at 11-a-side in any age group in the Sheffield and Hallam League.
She’s had her eye on the record all season but last week she scored an astonishing seven goals in the Belles’ 10-0 win over Bawtry.
That meant she leapfrogged the previous record of 59 goals, with her tally now standing at 62 with another game to go.
“I’m pretty happy with that,” said a calm Betty. “I did set out for it at the start of the season, because I scored 18 last season but didn’t do a full season.”
