A SMART student from Barnsley will jet off to Peru next week after winning a university placement there.
Stephanie Wood, 21, from Carr Lane, Pilley, is about to spend four months of her University of York social work degree in South America after winning the place.
She went through a rigourous interview process with her course tutors before they gave her the opportunity and only three others from her course have been given the chance to complete their placement there.
Stephanie said: “I’m excited to go, but nervous. I keep forgetting I’m going then it hits me that I am actually moving to Peru.”
