A FORMER orthopaedic surgeon at Barnsley Hospital has appeared before a tribunal to face complaints from three women about alleged sexual misconduct.

The incidents allegedly took place between 2006 and 2015 at the hospital and involved 54-year-old Dr Muhammad Khan, who is alleged to have groped staff members.

Dr Khan was reported to the General Medical Council following a police investigation and he has been appearing before the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service in Manchester since Monday.

He denies sexually motivated misconduct. The hearing continues.
