AN award-winning Indian takeaway has set its sights on adding to its bulging trophy cabinet.

Little India in Barugh Green, which was crowned Yorkshire takeaway of the year at the English Curry Awards in 2016 and 2017, has been nominated again in this year’s competition.

Owner Amrad Rahman told the Chronicle he wants to retain the trophy something the whole town can be proud of.

“It’s another big achievement and we’re looking forward to the awards night as we go there knowing we have a strong chance,” Amrad added.

“We’ve won for the last two years, but we really want the hat-trick.

“It’s the culmination of a lot of hard work.

“We take real pride in our food, the area we are based and the service we provide. The customers love that.”
