FOUR PRIMARY schools in the Dearne will be taken over by a new trust funded directly from the government.
Highgate, Carrfield, at Bolton, and The Hill and Gooseacre, both at Thurnscoe, and all staff will move to the Reach4 Academy Trust from Navigate Academies Trust on April 1.
The schools are the first in the country to join the new trust, which is funded through a £10m government Northern Sponsor Fund.
The fund was created to attract the best sponsors to take on schools in the north.
