LITTLE dancer Tala Lee-Turton will return from Moscow tomorrow to spend Christmas with her family and make a TV appearance.
Tala, 16, of Barnsley Road, Wombwell, moved to Russia in September after finally raising enough money to fund her first year of study at the prestigious Bolshoi Academy.
It made her only the ninth Briton to have won a place at the ballet school since it was founded in 1776.
But, despite her busy schedule, she has been allowed to come home for Christmas and will be in Wombwell from tomorrow until January 12.
Shortly before her return to Moscow, however, Tala will appear on the BBC's One Show on January 9. The slot will consist of a short film made when she was preparing to move to Moscow followed by an interview about her experiences there so far.
On her blog — which can be found at http://talaleeturton.wordpress.com — Tala has written about her various lessons such as make-up, character and Russian language and, of course, dance.
She also wrote with enthusiasm about being able to see ballets such as 'Swan Lake', 'La Fille Mal Gardée' and 'La Fille de Pharon' at the Bolshoi theatre and meeting her heroine Svetlana Zakharova.
