TEENAGERS have finished spray painting a mural in Barnsley town centre that promotes positive life choices.

Kian Creighton, 14, Ethan Hepworth, 13, and Bethany White, 14, designed and painted the colourful mural on the former Munjacks building which is earmarked for demolition.

The wall, on the corner of Kendray and Eldon Street, was donated to the charity Young Addaction by Barnsley Council for the Immortals project. Hague Construction, which is dealing with the demolition in the town centre as part of the Better Barnsley redevelopment, helped fund the mural alongside the charity.

Graffiti artist Dave Cross, 37, of Racecommon Road, Barnsley, teamed up with the teenagers to help design the mural but they came up with the ‘Choice’ theme themselves. Dave is known in the area for his Lost Boys and Ghostbusters graffiti on the former Bush Inn at Kingstone.
