ELVIS is coming to Wombwell tomorrow.

A special Elvis night is being held at Wombwell Main Cricket Club for two charities.

Entertainer Darron Woodward will be entertaining kids with his trademark blend of magic and puppetry.

Elvis will be appearing in puppet form to help out with a charity auction as part of the night.

Then later in the evening, Lewis Hill will be taking to the stage as an Elvis tribute act. The night will raise cash for both Briony’s Gift - which is run by Darron and wife Meayla in memory of their daughter, Briony - and the Barnsley Hospital Tiny Hearts campaign.

Meayla said: “The event starts at 5.30pm for kids’ entertainment from Magic Daz, with a Spider-Man visit. There is also a tombola raffle and auction.

“Then Lewis Hill has donated his services as Elvis from 8pm onwards. Tickets include pie and peas, with kids going free.

“This is all to raise money for two charities, Briony’s Gift in memory of our daughter who died from cancer aged three, and the Tiny Hearts appeal, who helped our friend Rachel Melling after her son was born prematurely needing to be on the special care baby unit. Rachel has organised the event with us.”

Tickets can be ordered by calling Meayla on 07704 415010 or Rachel on 07736 782629.
