REHEARSALS are well underway for Barnsley Musical Theatre Group’s ‘Hello Christmas’ show which will see almost 40 performers take to the stage.
Different generations of the same families will be taking part in the festive finale. The group’s junior section, Starlights, is particularly thriving at the moment and there is now a waiting list to join.
Carol Higgins, from the group, said: “Katie Ludditt, nine, is an original member of our Starlights, and Darcie Hill, eight, joined for our spring production and Theo Lee, seven, is looking forward to his first show.
“Their mums are so proud to have the opportunity to share the stage with them.
“We are hoping that the show will get audience members in the mood for Christmas.”
The show is at the Horizon Theatre, Dodworth Road, on Friday December 15 at 7pm and at 2pm on Saturday December 16.
